SERVICE/OFFICIAL VISA



Service Visas are given to foreign citizens bearing service passports/Laissez Passer (UN Passport) on assignment to Indonesia for non-diplomatic purposes.


US citizen: based on reciprocity, the service/offcial visa is free of charge, provided that the applicant is eligible and completed all the requirements.

Requests for Service Visas must be submitted through an Indonesian diplomatic mission abroad, by filling out the appropriate application forms and enclosing:
  • Two recent color photographs (passport size) on picture-quality paper.
  • The original passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of submission.
  • A diplomatic note from related US agencies confirming the person's non-diplomatic assignment. For other nationals, a similar diplomatic note from the Embassy/Consulates.
  • Passport contains at least one blank visa page. Amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa purposes.
