LEGALIZATION INFORMATION

1. This service is provided by the Embassy for those who need to legalize U.S./foreign documents to be used in Indonesia.


2. The Embassy of Indonesia will notarize/legalize any document(s) only after the document(s) has been notarized/legalized/ authenticated by the authentication officer at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. You may contact:

3. After your documents authenticated by the Authentication Office, then proceed to have the documents legalized by the Embassy, either by come personally or by mail.


4. The Legalization fee at the Embassy is US$ 20.00 per document and paid by money order or company check, payable to the Embassy of Indonesia. No personal check please. Cash may be accepted if only the applicant come personally to the Embassy.


5. Please provide copies of the document(s) to be legalized (for the Embassy’s file).


6. For those who wish to send the documents by mail, it is important to follow these instructions:
   

   • To avoid delay in processing your documents, please make sure that the addressee should read:

   • Please provide return envelope (or self-addressed envelope with sufficient stamps) for Express Mail, Fed Ex or any other service. The Embassy would not be held responsible for documents that lost through mail. So make sure you chose the most secure mail service.
   
   
   • Enclosed the fee. Do not send cash (read the No. 3 above).
