ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 'INDONESIA WRITING CONTEST'

We would like to thank those who have submitted essays for the Writing Competition and apologize for the delay of announcing the winners.

After reviewing the submitted essays, the Judges from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and the University of Michigan's Centre of South East Asian Studies have made the following decisions:

A. English Language Essay
  1. Undergraduate Student category: No winner.
  2. Graduate Student category: No winner.
 
  However the judges have agreed that there is an "honorable mention" in Undergraduate student category; and this is for:
  - Tessa Adzemovic for her essay entitled: "Indonesia Pie".
 
B. Indonesian Language Essay
  1. Non Student category: No winner.
  2. Graduate Student category: No winner.
 
  The judges have agreed that there are "honorable mention" in the Indonesian language category, and these are for:
  - Nicholas William for his essay entitled: "Ragam Bahasa: Kekayaan Indonesia Yang Terlupakan"
  - Antony Kearsley for his essay entitled: "Indonesia: Bersatu Dengan Keunikannya Menggapai Masa Depan"

- "Indonesia Pie" by Tessa Adzemovic
 
- "Ragam Bahasa: Kekayaan Indonesia Yang Terlupakan" by Nicholas William
 
- "Indonesia: Bersatu Dengan Keunikannya Menggapai Masa Depan" by Antony Kearsley
 
The three "honorable mention" essays will each receive a certificate from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia as well as a certificate from University of Michigan's Centre for South East Asian Studies.
 
A seven-day vacation in Indonesia organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia will be granted to Nicholas William.
