Trade

Just as Indonesia’s economy has improved, trade between Indonesia and the United States has risen significantly. In fact, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, total bilateral trade has risen by around $1.5 billion for each of the last three years. Every year, these trade tied deepen Indonesian-U.S. relations.

Several major American companies are active investors. Starbucks and other coffee companies sell Indonesian coffee. Clothes manufacturers like Gap, Nike, Espirit, H&M, Old Navy, and others have operations there. And the famous chocolate maker Mars, Inc. processes Indonesian cocoa.
