The Governor of Bali Province has mandated hoteliers in Bali to grant a one-night free exemption on the first day Ngurah Rai International Airport stops operating and offer the best available rates for every additional night. 

Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association Bali is granting tourists affected by airline cancellations, and with no flights out of Bali, 1 night free accommodation with the next night at 50% discount.

Direct bus transportation from Ngurah Rai International Airport to Surabaya’s Juanda International Airport is available with the capacity of 40 pax per bus with the rate of IDR 300.000 (23 USD) including one meal.  The duration of the trip is approx. 12 hours.

Free shuttle bus service registration is available at the Mt. Agung Command Post in the Domestic Terminal of the Ngurah Rai International Airport. The bus will depart to Mengwi Bus Terminal Station once it is full with another bus standing by. 

The rate from Mengwi Terminal Bus Station to Surabaya’s Juanda Airport varies from IDR 220.000 (around 17 USD), IDR 250.000 (19 USD) and IDR 350.000 (26 USD).

For travelers who need to depart from the country, free shuttles are available from Ngurah Rai International Airport to Mengwi Bus Terminal. From there you have several route options with different tariffs to Juanda International Airport in Surabaya (approx. 12 hrs), Adisucipto International Airport in Yogyakarta (18 hrs), Blimbling Sari Aiport in Banyuwangi (6 hrs) and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta (25 hrs). Please contact your travel agents, online vendor or airline service for more information.  

Note: Blimbing Sari Airport, Banyuwangi is for domestic flights only.

Lombok Praya International Airport has resumed its operational activities although some airlines remain in cancelled status. Please contact your airlines for your flight schedule and arrangement.  For Bali, officials have decided to extend the closure of Ngurah Rai International Airport until tomorrow (Nov 29) 7 am local time due to the volcanic ash.
