Starred by Indonesia’s well-known actors such as Ray Sahetapy, Rima Melati, and Remmy Sylado, “Senjakala di Manado” is a romantic-drama movie about a long-gone sailor (Johny Lengkong) who comes home to his hometown in Manado after 20 years with the hope that his family would accept and forgive him. He later found out that his wife had died, leaving a daughter named Pingkan. As Johny intends to take care of his daughter, Pingkan feels that Johny interferes in her relationship with Brandon, her boyfriend. Directed by Denny Pusung and released in December 2016, “Senjakala di Manado” was selected to represent Indonesia in Bangkok ASEAN Film Festival in April 2017.
