Food & Beverages
Agricultural and food products have been the backbone of the Indonesian economy. Agriculture constitutes 15% of Indonesia’s GDP. Manufacturing (non oil & gas) constitutes 24% of GDP, and the largest share of manufacturing employment, production and value added in Indonesia is in food and beverage products manufacturing.
Indonesian furniture industry has a rich history with great variety of raw materials such as rattan, bamboo, teak and plywood. It has made up over USD 2.7 billion in exports to the global market, including China, India, Japan, EU and certainly USA.
Textile & Apparel
The USD 17 billion textile and apparel industry in Indonesia has supplied the international market with fabric and garments of admirable quality. Over 60% of manufactured clothing is exported and many major global brands have a manufacturing base in Indonesia.
