Natural Attractions

As a tropical archipelago, Indonesia is blessed with beautiful beaches. The serene lapping of the waves, the equatorial sun, the clear water, the stunning horizon views—all can be found along the country’s shorelines. For relaxation, there is no better place.

But Indonesia’s natural attractions include far more than beaches. Underneath the waves, thousands of species of sea life sway and swim—a rainbow of biodiversity. Above, surfers race across the island chain’s waves. Further inland, visitors meet orangutans in dense jungles and climb mountains in the early morning air. Some even venture to see the volcanic craters and lakes high along the mountain chains.
